Lauren hates the idea of a new life in space. Her dad lost his job and couldn’t find one on Earth, so they had to move way out to Cielo Prime, a space station near the asteroid belt. She and her sister Julia know they aren’t going to like it. The sisters struggle to make life as normal as it can be on a space station. That is, until Julia’s science experiment makes them deathly ill. After that, things change. Creatures they’ve never seen before lurk on the fringes of their after-school hangouts. The New Frontier is the first book in the Cielo Space Chronicles which is a space adventure for readers in 4th to 8th grade. Follow the family on their journey as they adapt to life on a station, visit the space amusement park, discover alien creatures and aliens, befriend the aliens, and ultimately save the station from disaster.
