Dan Alatorre’s Young Authors Club Bestselling Author Dan Alatorre answered the request of a friend who thought grade school children with an interest in writing would benefit from being mentored by a published author. After touring the school and conducting several presentations to various grade levels, Dan was convinced. The Young Authors Club is where children from grades three through eight could meet and work on short stories, epic fantasies, or writing exercised designed to “build their writing muscles.” One thing was clear to Dan from the very beginning. “These kids are smart. They write better than I expected, and their enthusiasm is through the roof!” Several Young Authors have commenced long-style epic fantasies that will be continued over the next school year and possibly several school years—maybe into high school.
