Rise and Shine: A children’s guide to American Sign Language (Eight Little Hands)

The first story in the series “Eight Little Hands” is titled “Rise and Shine”, created by April Pulver. Join Abrahm in this 14-page story as he zips about the house getting ready for school. Included in this story are watercolor hand-drawn illustrations and pictures of chosen select words, in American Sign Language (ASL). As a bonus to every story in the series, including “Rise and Shine” are demonstrations of the alphabet, numbers, colors, and foods signed in ASL, making this book a total of 34 pages. Furthermore, “Rise and Shine” makes learning ASL fun, simple and enjoyable for the entire family. This allows parents to converse with their little one long before children are able to communicate (both hearing and deaf children), thus reducing frustration and enhancing language development.
